As of late the internet is saturated with 'film school' courses. But very few are practical such that you are actually on set as part of a team of an actual production. We are changing that.

Second: Very few online courses are helmed by a true classically trained Hollywood trained Cinematographers. Most are taught by rookies or Youtube posers with just a few years of production experience claiming to be 'masters of the cinematic arts'. Don't be fooled.

Gary Orona is a veteran director of photography and was originally a graduate of Columbia Film School in Hollywood whose launch into producing and directing began as a director of photography!

Trained in Hollywood for more than three decades, Gary has shot more than 500 feature lengths films, TV shows and music videos over the years exhibited by HBO/Cinemax, DirecTV, Fox Broadcasting, Showtime Australia, HBO worldwide, BSkyB Great Britain, and many more worldwide.

Explore camera setup, lenses, composition, support equipment, camera movement, cinematic lighting theory, and the workflow of shooting a feature film.  No film-school classroom can duplicate the experience of an actual production. You’ll learn by being there while we make the movie.  

Participants are joining for an educational, hands-on filmmaking experience and are not being hired as production employees. Specific activities may vary based on the needs and safety requirements of the production. Participants will need to make their own travel and lodging arrangements for the duration of the production.
